Dean began his career in account management at J. Walter Thompson, where he helped win a National Effie and Georgia Campaign of the Year awards from the American Marketing Association. He later served as Account Director and Director of Marketing/Strategic Planning at Austin Kelley Advertising. Dean also headed the B2B/Consumer division of one of the nation’s largest direct/database marketing agencies.
