EXIDE TECHNOLOGIES SELECTS FREDERICK SWANSTON FOR BRANDING, CREATIVE
ATLANTA, June 1, 2007 – Exide Technologies, a 100-year old manufacturer of lead acid batteries and the Official Battery of NASCAR, has selected Atlanta agency Frederick Swanston to handle US branding and creative duties. The scope of the assignment includes print and broadcast creative for the Automotive, Heavy Truck, Marine and Motorcycle categories. Billings were not disclosed.
According to Jim Jelin, Exide Vice President, Marketing and Retail Sales, Frederick Swanston’s combination of big agency branding and creative capabilities in a smaller, concentrated structure was appealing. “We were impressed with the work they’ve done building big national brands,” Jelin said. “Their creative abilities are impressive, and we also really like the fact that we get to deal directly with their top people.”
Some of the agency’s first work for Exide is already running in national trade and consumer magazines. A radio schedule on XM Radio breaks later this summer.
